“When my wife and I were interested in having our basement finished, we contacted Ohio Home Improvement for an estimate. After spending some time with Mike and Don, we knew they were well knowledgeable and had quite a bit of experience in all areas our basement would need. They were able to identify challenges and come up with great solutions before construction ever began. The estimate was fair and quite reasonable, too. We accepted their bid with the hope that the promise of quality workmanship and satisfaction guaranteed would be delivered.
We were amazed at how quickly our basement transformed from a set of stairs leading down to gray concrete walls into the best part of our home. Ohio Home Improvement custom built a Great Room with stone fireplace, a full bathroom, a finished storage room, home gym room, a den, a brick wine cellar, a wood work shop an unfinished furnace room and an additional room for taking care of our dogs. We also had every room trimmed in solid oak trim and solid oak doors. This time intensive job was done professionally and absolutely done to our high expectations. All of the work was well thought out and planned by Mike, Don and the crew. We had plenty of time to make decisions as challenges arose. We were even able to make some changes to some rooms, which they took in stride and completed all in the flow of the job. They were very neat, always on time and communicated very well with us. Mike and Don were committed to giving us exactly what we wanted with the impeccable quality they promised.
Now that construction is complete and we are adding furniture and amenities, the quality workmanship and close attention to detail that was originally promised is now being realized. Don, as he promised from the beginning, made time after they had finished, to walk through the basement with me room by room to go over their work and point out any imperfections that I wanted them to improve upon. Needless to say, there weren’t any. Mike and Don took no shortcuts and it shows. Our family and guests have all been extremely impressed in the design, construction, and the finish of our new part that our home now has.
